1. Who we are

SnapCal (the “App”) is a food and calorie scanner, published by an independent developer (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). Contact: apps.contact.supports@gmail.com.

Health & safety disclaimer. SnapCal is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Calorie and nutrition values are AI-generated estimates and may be inaccurate. Do not use the App to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical or dietary condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian.

2. Data we collect

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, SMS messages, calendar, location, or microphone audio. The App has no sign-up or login.

4. Ads

The App may show banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads via Google AdMob. Ads are personalised only where you allow it. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland we show a consent prompt before serving personalised ads. You can disable ad personalisation in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads) or remove ads by subscribing.

5. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Data retention & deletion

Food photos are sent to the Gemini API to produce an estimate and are not retained by us afterwards. Your food log and settings live on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data. For any request, email apps.contact.supports@gmail.com; we action verified requests within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to access, delete, and object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell personal information.

8. Security

Network requests use HTTPS. Purchases are validated by Google Play directly — we never see your payment method.

9. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
