1. Who we are

LeafSnap (the “App”) is a plant identifier, published by an independent developer (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). Contact: apps.contact.supports@gmail.com.

Health & safety disclaimer. LeafSnap is for informational purposes only and is not a medical or safety device. Plant identifications, edibility, toxicity, and care information are AI-generated estimates and may be inaccurate. Never consume or handle any plant based on this App — misidentification can be dangerous. Always consult a qualified expert.

2. Data we collect

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, SMS messages, calendar, location, or microphone audio. The App has no sign-up or login.

The App may show banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads via Google AdMob. Ads are personalised only where you allow it. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland we show a consent prompt before serving personalised ads. You can disable ad personalisation in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads) or remove ads by subscribing.

5. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Data retention & deletion

Plant photos are sent to the Gemini API to produce a result and are not retained by us afterwards. Your settings and recent results live on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data. For any request, email apps.contact.supports@gmail.com; we action verified requests within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to access, delete, and object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell personal information.

8. Security

Network requests use HTTPS. Purchases are validated by Google Play directly — we never see your payment method.

9. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
